Tottenham’s Jack Roles is ready to roll for Cambridge United against Walsall
Tottenham loanee Jack Roles is ready to return to first team action against Walsall on Saturday as Cambridge United face three tricky away trips in a week.
Colin Calderwood's side take on Walsall this Saturday before making the long journey to the South West for the FA Cup replay at Exeter on Tuesday night and an even longer journey to Carlisle for the League Two clash next weekend.
Midfielder Roles, who has been missing from the side since the draw with Grimsby last month, has recovered sufficiently from a hamstring problem to be considered fit enough for selection.
Boss Colin Calderwood confirmed: "Jack trained fully on Tuesday. He will certainly be involved in the coming games. He will have an introduction at some point on Saturday whether it is a start or by coming on but he will be back in the team."
However, it wasn't all good news with Saturday's game coming just a little too early for midfielder Luke Hannant.
He has been struggling with a back injury since the win over Crawley in League Two but Calderood hinted the player could be back against Exeter or Carlisle although he would know more after tomorrow's training session.
Calderwood added: "Luke will struggle for the weekend. He will be in training tomorrow. He has a stiffness in his back and it's very uncomfortable for him but he’s starting to move easier which is a good thing.
