Cambridge United boss Mark Bonner provides fitness updates on Gassan Ahadme and Jordan Cousins ahead of Peterborough United derby clash

Cambridge United striker Gassan Ahadme will be fit for tomorrow’s derby at Peterborough United, while a ‘late call’ is set to be made on Jordan Cousins’ fitness.

Ipswich Town loanee Ahadme has been troubled by a foot injury in recent games, but having sat out United’s last three outings, he is set to return for the short journey up the A14 to London Road.

Cousins, meanwhile, limped off during last weekend’s FA Cup victory over Bracknell Town with a hamstring complaint. A subsequent scan revealed that the damage was not as bad as first feared – and he too could be available for the lunchtime kick off.

U’s head coach Mark Bonner said: “We’ll see where we are today. We’ve got to train this morning still so we’re not absolutely certain (on Cousins).

“Gassan is good, no problems. He’s good to go, but Jordan, we need to check how he goes today.

“It will be a late call on that one but everybody else who has been training throughout the week is good to go.”

A late check will also be made on Zeno Ibsen Rossi after he missed the midweek EFL Trophy clash with Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s through injury.
