Cambridge United youngster Kai Yearn features for Stoke City in Premier League 2 defeat to Leicester City

It would appear that Kai Yearn has been taken on trial by Stoke City.

Last week it was confirmed that Cambridge United’s youngest ever goalscorer would be leaving the club along with a number of last season’s FA Youth Cup heroes when his contract expires at the end of the season.

And now it seems that the 18-year-old is looking towards the future after he featured for the Sky Bet Championship side’s Under-21 side on Monday.

Yearn came on as a substitute early in the second half as Stoke’s youngsters were beaten 3-0 by their Leicester City counterparts.

England age-group international Yearn is set to depart the Cledara Abbey Stadium having made a total of seven senior appearances, two of which came in Sky Bet League One.
