A host of events for children taking place at Waterstones in Cambridge




Waterstones in Sidney Street, Cambridge will be entertaining children over the Easter holidays by hosting storytimes and activities, as well as having themed parties and presenting author signings.

Today (Wednesday) it will be hosting a special performance of the classic tale The Little Prince, performed by Matthew Dexter, from 2.30pm to 4.15pm. Tickets are available online and in store.

Tomorrow (Thursday), there will be a Storytime for Tots and Toddlers: Superbly Spring - this time with a theme of all things spring. A free event, storytime will begin at 11.15am and run for 15 to 20 minutes.

There will then be a party, this Friday (April 8) with activities, games, prizes, and – of course – a storytime all themed around Fun on the Farm. The morning session is from 11am to noon, while the afternoon session runs from 2-3pm. The cost is £2 per child.

Then on Sunday (April 10) Waterstones will be hosting another Storytime for Tots and Toddlers, meeting under the magical book tree in the children's section for a storytime all about trees. Storytime will begin at 2pm and run for 30 minutes. This event is free.

On Saturday (April 9), come along and meet children's author Ann-Marie Howell, who will be signing copies of her new novel The Secret of the Treasure Keepers – a moving tale of courage, friendship and buried treasure set in the Cambridgeshire Fens – at 2pm.

On Thursday, (April 14), Waterstones will be hosting another Storytime for Tots and Toddlers: Mad About Books! meeting again under the magical book tree in the children's section for a storytime all about trees. This free event will begin at 2pm and run for 30 minutes.
