Australian stand-up Rhys Nicholson heads to Cambridge




Australian comic Rhys Nicholson, winner of Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2022 - and Best Show at the Sydney Comedy Festival, also in 2022 - is coming to the Cambridge Junction this Sunday (22 September).

The Huge Big Party Congratulations! show was performed at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

Rhys, a stand-up, writer and actor, is a regular fixture on primetime TV. Rhys has been on the judging panel of all four series of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, and can be seen on other programmes such as Taskmaster Australia, Roast Battle UK, and The Stand-Up Sketch Show, as well as performing on numerous televised stand-up performances in Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA.

Rhys is also the co-founder of Melbourne live comedy venue, The Comedy Republic, and last year wrote a book of essays titled Dish: Spiels, Scoops, Emotional Outbursts and the Occasional Recipe.
