Taking place on fields beside Cambourne Business Park on Saturday and Sunday, the event will raise money for the Wildlife Trust in Cambridgeshire.

Queen tribute act Magic Queen will headline, with The Decades, John Verity, Fiveska, Blue Thunder, Treble Damage, Limited Time, Upwood Ukeleles, Fenboy3 and Timeline also playing.

Families can also enjoy fairground rides, arts and crafts and wildlife-themed activities, and there will be a beer and cider tent with a special ‘Wild Brew’ beer, plus prosecco and gin tents. Black Rice paella, Pizza Mondo and the Smoking Cow will provide food.

Louise Rackham, head of communities and wildlife, said: "Cambourne to be Wild is a first for the Wildlife Trust in Cambridgeshire and has been quite an undertaking to organise.

“Now we're all ready and really looking forward to a great couple of days celebrating wildlife and the whole local community.

“We're very grateful to all the groups who are helping support us - from Cambourne Town Council to the Scouts and cadets groups, and everyone who has loaned equipment.

“Many thanks to everyone who has bought a ticket and, in doing so, helping to support local wildlife, and we hope everyone has a great time. We're already aiming to build on the experience for next year to make it bigger and better."

Tickets cost less if bought in advance at wildlifebcn.org/camwild, where they are priced £25 for Saturday or £10 for Sunday for adults (£5 for those accompanied children aged 3-17). Family weekend tickets are £70.
