Cambridge-based guitarist Daniela Rossi to perform at fourth International Classical Guitar Festival of Misiones, Argentina
Argentinian guitarist Daniela Rossi, who lives in Cambridge, will be the first artist to appear at the fourth International Classical Guitar Festival of Misiones, Argentina, on August 21.
Guitarists from Argentina and abroad are to feature at this year's event - organised by Fundación Mas Vida - which will be held online and which runs from August 21 to November 27.
Alongside Daniela Rossi, other renowned guitarists set to appear include Eleanor Kelly, Victor Villadangos, Valerie Hartzell, Eduardo Castañera, Jorge Cardozo, and Maximo Diego Pujol. Master classes with some of the participants will also be offered.
The province of Misiones, in the north of Argentina, will be represented by Marta Angelina Lerra, Luis Zanazzo, Duo Confluencias, Fernando Gruber, and Camila Vera.
Artistic director Erna Margot Ortiz said: "We will have a special place for children, youth and students and we will pay tribute to musician friends who have left us because of Covid. Needless to say, we are very grateful for the support, diffusion and the possibility of having friends from different parts of the world who love the guitar."
The performances are free but donations are encouraged. Donations to Daniela Rossi can be made at paypal.com/paypalme/danielaguitarrossi.
