Cambridge-based guitarist Daniela Rossi to perform this weekend at Stapleford Village Day
Cambridge-based classical guitarist Daniela Rossi is to perform at Stapleford Village Day this Sunday (July 4), which takes place in the grounds and gardens of the Granary.
Free to enter and running from 11am to 4pm, this special event will be a celebration of the village of Stapleford and its community. It will be a chance to come together in a safe outdoor environment and enjoy all the things we have missed so much over the past year.
The garden and outdoor spaces will all be open and Daniela, an award-winning virtuoso musician from Argentina, will perform at 11.20am as part of the Live Music & Theatre Under the Tent lineup.
Other acts appearing include the Acorn String Quartet, Corkscrew Theatre presenting a play called The Happy Prince, and jazz duo Ruth Applin and Josh Kemp.
There will also be stalls from freelance artists, craft activities for children, and pop-up food vans. The organisers will be collecting for two charities: the Red Hen Project, which supports local families and children to achieve more at home, and the not-for-profit Artist Residency Scheme, enabling the freelance workforce to get back on their feet again.
Stapleford Granary is a large site with spacious outdoor areas. All the necessary Covid restrictions will be in place.
