Cambridge restaurant Pipasha wins at the 1st Nation’s Curry Awards 2023




The 1st Nation’s Curry Awards 2023, a celebration of the best curry houses and chefs across the country, took place last Monday (February 20) at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, with more than 150 guests in attendance.

The event recognised excellence in a range of categories, including Chef of the Year, Vegetarian Restaurant of the Year, and Best Customer Service.

On the night, Pipasha was a finalist in two categories: Curry Restaurant of the Year and Manager of the Year. Modu Miah, co-owner and general manager of Pipasha, took the title of Manager of the Year.

He said: “I am very honoured to have won this accolade. I wish to thank our loyal customers, our hardworking staff and my business partner Abdul Hye.”

A spokesperson for The 1st Nation’s Curry Awards 2023 added: “It has been an unforgettable night, filled with incredible food, vibrant energy, and passionate conversations.

“We have celebrated the finest in the UK’s curry scene, recognising the creativity, innovation, and exceptional service that have become synonymous with this beloved cuisine.
