Running from 1.30pm to 4pm, the afternoon of performing arts and cultural workshops is a public event open to all at Storey’s Field Centre in Eddington.

This year establishes ESEA Heritage Month as an annual observance celebrating the history, heritage and social contributions of East and Southeast Asian communities in the UK.

The main hall at the award-winning Storey’s Field Centre will be filled with traditional music from Thailand, Japan and China, as well as feature Japanese Shotokan Karate and dance by UK China Performing Arts.

The event supports ESEA-owned small businesses and charitable organisations and there will be a mixture of paid and free workshops available that will invite people to experience and learn about East Asian arts and crafts.

The celebration wouldn’t be complete without sweet treats for afternoon tea, ESEA-style. Exhibitors include YiCrafts, EcoJapan, Lantern Books, The Baking Jin, Madam Chang’s Kaya, Viv’s Bubble Waffles and more.
