Christmas at Wimpole 2024 illuminated trail set to begin with new artworks

Christmas at Wimpole - when the National Trust estate is illuminated with spectacular artworks - is set to be launched on Friday (22 November).

Running until 1 January, the winter wonderland will feature some new illuminations this year.

Designed by Culture Creative and produced in partnership with Sony Music and the National Trust, the after-dark trail will include Ros’O by TILT - clusters of elegant reeds, standing up to seven metres tall, rising like glowing wild plants in assorted shades.

Inspired by nature, the piece has been created by the renowned TILT studio, a French collective known for their artistic exploration of light.

Another key illumination is Paloma by Pitaya, with a flock of glowing, origami-like birds filling the treetops.

Wimpole’s illuminated trail includes more than a million twinkling lights, sparkling tunnels, glistening baubles and vibrant woodland displays.
