Classical guitarists Daniela Rossi and Francisco Correa to launch new albums at Cambridge concert

Cambridge-based classical guitarist Daniela Rossi’s next concert will also serve as a special double album launch.

Daniela will be sharing the launch with her “dear colleague”, Columbian virtuoso guitarist Francisco Correa, on Saturday, 25 October, at 7.30pm, at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre.

Daniela says: “This concert will be a celebration of two new recordings that have marked important artistic journeys for both of us.

“Francisco will be presenting his new album, Songs from Beyond, on which I was a guest artist recording four duets with him, and I will be sharing Homages, my second solo recording and debut for Brilliant Classics (listen on Spotify).

“Both projects are deeply connected through the music of John W Duarte, whose imaginative voice links classical, jazz, and popular traditions in a unique way.”

During the concert, the pair will perform works by John Duarte, Giulio Regondi, José Luis Merlín, Mark Houghton, and others, combining classical repertoire with rhythms and colours from Latin America.
