Duxford Summer Air Show 2022 complete guide: Flight times, what to see and what to take
The ever-popular Duxford Air Show is back this weekend (June 18-19) at Imperial War Museum Duxford.
Look out for world-class formation display team the Blades, the Red Arrows (flypast, Saturday only), Avro Lancaster (Saturday only), RAF Falcons and the Bremont Great War Display Team. Expect to also see Spitfires and Hurricanes in action in homage to Duxford’s role in the Second World War, as well as daring aerial acts from the Aerosuperbatic Wing Walkers.
Meanwhile, on the ground, visitors can enjoy live music, circus comedy and workshops with Fitup Productions, meet exotic animals with the team from Zoolab, see a traditional steam fair, meet and learn from living history groups, and access the Flightline walk (before noon) to see all the aircraft and crews up close.

Visitors will also be able to explore IWM Duxford’s exhibitions and array of aircraft, tanks and boats and are advised to bring a bottle of water, folding chairs or picnic blankets. Windbreaks are also permitted. The following are not allowed on site: dogs or other animals, barbeques, step ladders or stools, tents.
Phil Hood, IWM Air Show event manager, said: “The first air show of the season is always hotly anticipated and we can’t wait to deliver a fantastic weekend of entertainment over what looks to be a warm and sunny couple of days.
“As always, there will be plenty of aerial displays and fast flying action in the skies from the likes of the Wing Walking team, the RAF Falcons parachutists, the official helicopter display team of the Royal Navy and a flypast from the Red Arrows on the Saturday.
“Entertainment on the ground will offer something for everyone with live music, a traditional steam fair, living history groups and fantastic vehicle displays and, of course, IWM Duxford’s fascinating exhibitions and hangars. If you don’t have your tickets yet there is still time – we guarantee it will be a weekend to remember.”
