Eboracum Baroque and York Gin present a festive programme of Baroque music filmed in Wimpole Church and Wimpole Hall, with instrumental and vocal pieces by Bach, Charpentier, Vivaldi and more.

York Gin will provide festive virtual drinks in the interval, and there will be arias from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Magnificat, a trumpet concerto by Torelli and Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, among other works from across 17th and 18th century Europe.

Usually, Eboracum Baroque would give festive performances at both Wimpole Hall and Wimpole Church but with performance restrictions, this concert was filmed back in October.

Eboracum Baroque - who would like to thank their season sponsors Woodfines Solicitors - are committed to supporting young freelance musicians through these challenging times.

Eboracum Baroque is an ensemble of young professional singers and instrumentalists. The group was formed in 2012 by Chris Parsons at the University of York and the Royal College of Music and has performed all across the UK and Europe in venues and festivals, including Senate House, Cambridge.

The free concert will be shown on youtube.com/eboracumbaroque and on facebook.com/eboracumbaroque.
