A Choir2000 spokesperson said: “They show us the best and the worst in ourselves and those around us, inviting us to laugh, and to cherish community.

“George Dyson’s choral presentation of the poems are equally vivid, boisterous, humorous, and moving. This energising collection of musical tableaux are rarely performed and Choir2000 is bringing them to Cambridge for possibly the first time, with strong support from the George Dyson Trust.”

Choir2000 consists of almost 100 singers. They will be accompanied by a 25-piece orchestra, together with soloists Anna-Luise Wagner, Peter Weatherly and Peter Norris.

The concert will be held at West Road Concert Hall.

Tickets are £15 from shorturl.at/NY11T. Visit choir2000.org or search for Choir2000 on Facebook for more.
