LEARN MOREThat festive feeling is back in Cambridge, with the opening of the annual North Pole attraction located near the city centre.
Head over to Parker’s Piece to enjoy the North Pole, which features an ice rink, fairground-style rides and – new this year – the country’s biggest ice slide. It opened last Friday (November 19) and runs until Monday, January 3.
The rink features a clear span roof, so is suitable for all weathers, but is open at the sides, ensuring good ventilation. And if you want a view over the whole site, the huge ferris wheel at Parker’s Piece is also open.
Noah Winfield, rink manager, said: “I certainly wasn’t expecting it to be this busy straight away... It’s so nice to have that buzz of busyness through the whole park as well – it just comes alive when it’s busy down here.”
