Family behind The Wrestlers on Newmarket Road, Cambridge, opens new restaurant in Lode
The family behind The Wrestlers, the popular pub on Newmarket Road which serves Thai food, has opened a second restaurant in the village of Lode.
Pattaya Kitchen (The Shed) on 45 Lode Road serves wine, draft beer, a range of curries (green, red, panang) and noodles and soups such as Pad Thai and Tom Yum.
It has just opened and is serving lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday.
The Wrestlers, a family-run business for more than 30 years, will continue to operate as normal.
Jack Phookha, manager at The Wrestlers and now Pattaya Kitchen (The Shed), said: “Thanks to the help of our loyal customers who have been visiting us over many years we are delighted to say we are now able to open a second restaurant.
“Our plan is simple: like at The Wrestlers we want to provide big portions of tasty Thai food all in a relaxed, friendly environment.
“The menu, prices and customer experience will stay the same, the only things we are changing is the setting and adding a few new guest beers or wines of our own.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone at both The Wrestlers and now Pattaya Kitchen (The Shed) for many years to come.”
