Filmmaker Robin Lee’s documentary ‘Four Trails’ to be shown at the Everyman Cinema, Cambridge
Four Trails, a new independent film by a former pupil at The Leys School, is being shown at the Everyman Cinema in Cambridge this Thursday evening (6 November).
The acclaimed film by Robin Lee, who was born and brought up in Hong Kong but whose family is English and based in Cambridge, documents a gruelling 300km ultra marathon that takes place annually in Hong Kong.
The documentary grossed HK$11million (£1million) in Hong Kong, the second highest for a documentary ever released in the territory and won Robin the title of Best New Director at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards.
It has been shown at numerous film festivals, including the Making Waves Festival, the Far East Film Festival, and the Shanghai and Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival.
It's a film that both showcases the amazing scenery in Hong Kong, and records the difficult, moving and heartwarming stories of the participants who choose to embrace the challenge.
Robin was born and brought up in Hong Kong, although his family is English and based in Cambridge.
