Gallery: Apple day brings visitors to the botanic garden
The area’s largest apple day was held for the seventh consecutive year at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden on Sunday, October 20.
Highlights included apple tasting, apple identification and advice on what to grow, and how to plant and prune for a bumper crop.
There were also chocolates and artisan cheeses for sale, as well as tours, live music, pop-up food trucks and craft stalls.
A spokesperson for the garden said: “We had a lovely day and were very grateful that the weather stayed fine for it.
"We were really busy and it seemed that everybody was having a lovely day out.
“We had apple-related family activities in our schools’ garden and we had a member of our team doing pop-up science so that people could find out about some of the science and research that’s going on at the university.”
