Gallery: Fun at the Fenland Country Fair in Stow Cum Quy
Established in 1981, the annual Fenland Country Fair at Stow Cum Quy was held over the bank holiday weekend.
Taking place on Sunday (August 25) and bank holiday Monday (August 26), the event highlighted numerous aspects of British countryside living – including falconry, ferret racing and horse displays – as well as a selection of vehicles, from traction engines to classic cars.
One stallholder, demonstrating his talent for building wooden garden structures, was Tim Radford, of WonderWood and Foxcotte Fencing, based in Barton.
He said: “It’s brilliant, it’s always a good festival.
"Unfortunately, I think it’s been a little bit too hot for people, but it’s always a good show.
“And still with the agricultural aspect, which is nice – where you’ve got the tractors and the steam engines and things, which is vital for country shows.
"So many don’t have them now.”
