How to see the stunning new sound and light show coming to Ely Cathedral, Life by Luxmuralis
‘Life’ by Luxmuralis, a new sound and light show, is coming to Ely Cathedral this February.
Visitors can come and experience a journey through earth, sea and sky as the interior of the cathedral is transformed into a vision of nature.
Many of the images have been inspired by national collections including the Natural History Museum and the William Morris Museum, and offer an insight into nature, time and human connection. Entry to the event is timed, giving visitors the opportunity to wander through the cathedral at leisure.
Art collective Luxmuralis is the organisation behind several high-profile light installations which have taken place in some of the UK’s most iconic landmarks.
Last year, Ely Cathedral was one of the first venues to showcase Crown and Coronation which chronicled, in light and sound, the history of the British royal family through the ages.
Joss Palmer, event manager at Ely Cathedral, said: “Following on from the amazing Crown and Coronation show last year, we are very exciting to be hosting ‘Life’ by Luxmuralis.
“These amazing light creations work so beautifully inside the cathedral building, making the whole experience both unmissable and memorable.”
‘Life’ by Luxmuralis is at Ely Cathedral from 4-8 February.
