In pictures: Families enjoy the Wonder of Wood at successful fair
The sixth Wonder of Wood Fair lived up to its promise of providing “another fantastic weekend of fun, creativity, and outdoor adventure for the whole family”.
Activities this year included learning survival skills, pond dipping, den building, storytelling, and face painting.
Tim Radford, from Barton-based WonderWood – which organised the weekend event with Fordham-based Artisan Structures – said that the educational side of the fair is “amazing for the kids”, adding: “They can have a go on everything. Every stall has an activity for the kids to get involved with.”
Tim said that both days were “well-attended” and that “the weather was brilliant”, and notes that the fair’s popular straw bale assault course is “probably the biggest in the land!”
On what was different this year, Tim said there were “a lot of new stallholders, new furniture-makers, and carvers”.
