Adam Kendall, head of commercial services at IWM Duxford, said: “Over the weekend we welcomed a total of 8,500 visitors to IWM Duxford for the Duxford Flying Finale and the Model Aircraft Centenary. These events brought another fantastic flying season to a close and we are looking forward to doing it all again in 2023.

“Some of the highlights from the weekend included the Patrouille de Suisse, who made their first appearance at IWM Duxford, the RAF Typhoon and a number of historic aircraft including Spitfires and Hurricanes.”

When leaving the event, there were reports of several people stuck in extended traffic jams. Commenting on this, Adam Kendall said: “Some visitors did experience delays in departing the site and we will be reviewing this with our car parking management team and the local authorities.”
