In pictures: Julia Roberts all smiles on set of ‘After the Hunt’ in Cambridge
Hollywood A-lister Julia Roberts looked relaxed and happy as she filmed in Cambridge.
The star was on the set of her new movie, After the Hunt.
The 56-year-old actress, who plays a college professor in the thriller, was seen filming in a church in the city and was supported by husband Danny Moder, who came along to watch.
She was joined on set by Spider-man star Andrew Garfield, 40, who plays her colleague in the film. American actresses Christine Dye and Ayo Edebiri, 28, were also spotted on the set of the Amazon MGM Studios film.
As the Cambridge Independent reported, a film crew descended on Selwyn College earlier this month, before moving to Westminster College.
The film crews set up their trailers at Cambridge Rugby Club in Grantchester Road.
The movie is set to tell the story of a college professor, played by Roberts, who is forced to confront her own dark past when a star student makes an accusation against one of her colleagues, played by Garfield.
As she navigates the difficult situation, “a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light”.
The script by Nora Garrett has been described by Deadline magazine as “one of the more talked-about scripts in recent memory”.
The film, which is being directed by Luca Guadagnino of recent hit Challengers, is due to be released next year.
