Starring Any Dream Will Do runner-up Keith Jack, actress and singer Mica Paris and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter, the show will be at Cambridge Arts Theatre until Saturday (May 4).

Fame follows the lives of students at New York’s High School for the Performing Arts as they navigate their way through the highs and lows, the romances and heartbreaks and the ultimate elation of life.

The bitter-sweet but uplifting story explores issues that confront many young people today: prejudice, identity, pride, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance.

Fame features the Oscar-winning title song, other well-known songs include Dancin’ on the Sidewalk and There She Goes. Originally a film, produced in 1980, Fame has since then been adapted into television series, stage productions, a television film and a reality television series.

Tickets range from £20 to £39 and can be purchased from the box office online or by calling 01223 503333.
