More than 22,000 enjoy Anglesey Abbey’s annual Winter Lights
Anglesey Abbey welcomed more than 22,000 people to its Winter Lights this year.
Winter Lights 2021 marked its 10th year, raising £250,000. Kayley Wilcockson, senior programming and partnerships officer for the National Trust at Anglesey Abbey, said: “This year’s event welcomed over 22,000 people to Anglesey Abbey and engaged them with our largest fundraiser of the year, supporting our vital conservation work that keeps this place special.
“Nature by Night, Nature by Light offered people an opportunity to connect with nature through a calm and sensory experience, and with the help of Eddie Barcan, our creative producer, and Pearce Hire, the entire 1.5-mile route had highlights for all the senses.
“We were also delighted to be able to continue our existing partnerships with local artists from the Cambridge Jazz Festival and Cambridge Folk Festival, whilst also including readings from local poet Robert Macfarlane and developing new relationships with a collection of Cambridge’s tastiest street food vendors.”
