Music in the Parks returns with the Rajasthani Brass Band




Music in the Parks – Cambridge’s free Sunday afternoon concerts in the city’s green open spaces – continues this Sunday (August 13) on Jesus Green with the Rajasthani Brass Band.

Organised by Cambridge City Council, the music events are sponsored once again by lead sponsor, the Graduate Hotel Cambridge, continuing last summer’s successful partnership, with support also this year from supporting sponsors, Cambridge BID, Cambridge Water and High Sheriff’s Fund via Cambridgeshire Community Foundation.

Featuring more concerts than ever, the eight concert series takes place on various Sundays up to September 17, and acts who have already appeared include ska favourites Big 10, Irish hip hop band DisFunktional, King George V Playing Field, and the Haverhill Youth and Community Band.

The remaining dates are as follows:

Rajasthani Brass Band, plus dance and poetry – August 13, Jesus Green, 12.30-5.30pm.

Vocal Remix Choir, plus support – August 20, St Albans Recreation Ground

Somersham Town Band – September 3, Nightingale Recreation Ground

Soham Comrades Band – September 10, Cherry Hinton Hall

4 Villages Orchestra, in association with Graduate Cambridge – September 17, Graduate Hotel Cambridge

The majority of the concerts take place between 3pm-5pm (all events include toilet facilities and some chairs, however please bring your own if possible).
