Nene Valley Railway
Heritage steam and diesel train journeys from Nene Valley Station out to Yarwell.
Train enthusiasts can climb aboard one of the refurbished carriages and travel with one of the Nene Valley Railway locomotives along the 7.5 mile track along the border of Cambridgeshire.
For youngsters Nene Valley Railway is home to the little blue steam engine Thomas.
The line travels along stations at Wansford, Ferry Meadows, Orton Mere and Peterborough, each stop presenting the opportunity to explore the surrounding area.
Nene Valley also runs a range of other experiences through the summer weekends, including the chance to drive a train, and there's a calendar of events to keep an eye on too.
All the information you might need for planning your visit is on the website, including fares (Blue Peter badge holders go free!) and station cafes.
