Superstar DJ Brandon Block to get Newmarket Nights’ 2025 season under way

International superstar DJ Brandon Block is to open the Newmarket Nights season on Friday, 20 June, playing a supporting set before the 30-piece Ministry of Sound Classical orchestra take to the stage.

Gaining fame as a resident DJ on the iconic Space Ibiza terrace, Brandon played a key role in cementing Ibiza as the global hub of electronic music.

He was also integral to major UK club nights like Flying, Fubar, and Up Yer Ronson, plus held residencies at renowned venues including Gatecrasher and of course Ministry of Sound.

His international reach included being among the first to introduce house music to Dubai and other global party destinations, while his appearances on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix further solidified his influence.

Brandon said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be joining the line-up at Newmarket! Ministry of Sound has played such a huge part in my career and in the history of dance music, so to be part of the Classical show is a real honour.

“I’ve got so many great memories tied to the brand - from the early days of the club scene to unforgettable nights behind the decks.

“I’ll be bringing all that energy with me to get the crowd moving and set the tone for what’s going to be an incredible night.”

Following Brandon’s set, Ministry of Sound Classical will transform the July course into the legendary home of dance music.

Other headliners at Newmarket Nights this summer include Tom Jones, Richard Ashcroft, and Sugababes.
