Temporary art exhibition to showcase work by award-winning artists at Cambridge’s Grand Arcade
A new space on the first floor of the Grand Arcade will be showcasing the artwork of 15 award-winning artists from Galeria Moderna’s prestigious art contests, including award-winners from the London, Oxford and Cambridge Invitational contests.
Art lovers are invited to immerse themselves in a five-week exhibition of extraordinary pieces, each waiting to find its perfect home.
What sets this exhibition apart is the Galeria Moderna website hub, where people can access recorded interviews with the artists themselves.
These conversations add an extra layer of provenance to the original artwork.
There will be a grand opening this Saturday (July 15). The exhibition runs until August 20 and features work by Debbie Baxter, a local artist and winner of the London Mayfair Contest, Solly Solomon, winner of the Emerging Woman Painter Prize, presented by actor Dame Emma Thompson, and Anne Schwegmann-Fielding, an award-winning mosaic artist and sculptor.
