The Carriage Ely to be featured on Channel 4’s George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces
The Carriage Ely, a conversion of a re-used and upcycled Great Western Railway HST train carriage, is to appear on Chanel 4’s George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces.
Located a five-minute drive away from the city of Ely, The Carriage Ely is described on its website as “a truly distinctive and meticulously restored GWR train carriage, providing two secluded and luxurious retreats, exclusively for adults in the serene landscape of Cambridgeshire”.
Owners Andrea and Richard of The Carriage Ely said: “It was a great experience filming with the crew of the show that we will never forget, and we feel honoured to be chosen by George Clarke to be featured in his show.
“George was overwhelmed and said on first impression of the carriage it was ‘phenomenal!’”
The show will air on Channel 4 at 9pm on 27 July, where viewers can see this luxury conversion for themselves and possibly be interested in booking a few nights there as a getaway.
The Carriage consists of two individual accommodations, one being Penzance, the first conversion with a four-seater hot tub and the other being Paddington, as featured in the show, more themed to a luxury couples’ retreat with a two-person hot tub.
