TikTok sensation Henry Rowley heads to Cambridge Junction

The “undeniably talented, undeniably funny” (Tatler) Henry Rowley made his debut at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his show Just Literally.

The ‘Gen Z internet star’ is now on tour around the UK and is coming to Cambridge in November.

It’s disappointing enough having a TikToker for a son, but can a comedy show be any more disappointing to Henry’s parents?

Yes it can. Because even though he is “excellent company” (Tatler) he didn’t exactly follow in his parents’ footsteps…

When a GP and a therapist love each other very much… they spawn a “TikTok comedy darling” (Tatler).

Henry Rowley is a rising star captivating audiences with his unique blend of humour, creativity, and relatable content.

With a knack for comedic timing and engaging storytelling, Henry has amassed a large following – as a performer he has carved out a unique comedy style.

Displaying a wide range of character comedy in his debut hour, Henry is ready to show why he is poised to become not only an online sensation, but a force in the comedy world.

Henry says: “So apparently spending all day filming myself and posting it on social media didn’t quite fill that empty void in my soul so I’ve decided to try and get even more attention and piss my parents off even more by travelling the UK and Ireland performing my brand new show of character sketch comedy and stand-up. If you don’t come, I’ll cry.”

Online comedy sensation – and, more importantly, English literature graduate – Henry, who in nearly three years has amassed 450,000 Instagram followers, 1.3m TikTok followers, and 72.2m likes, has a growing collection of skits and impressions.

He presents characters with which we are all, unfortunately, slightly too familiar with and he has since formed a loyal fan base – from uncomfortable POV videos of ‘the Soho House guy’ to ‘the music guy at afters’, he paints an hilarious and accurate picture of social interactions.

After a youth spent in multiple theatre productions, Henry has performed on stage at the Curve Theatre in Leicester and at the Drayton Arms Theatre with My Neighbours are Kinda Weird, which was brought to the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a successful two-week run.

With his experience in acting, Henry is continuing to pursue theatre and on-screen comedy roles.

He made his debut into the world of stand-up comedy in August 2023 at the Edinburgh Fringe in the creator-led showcase titled ‘Knock Knock’.

This year he took his first solo hour-long comedy show to the Pleasance Courtyard in the city. Henry also hosts his monthly comedy show, Henry Rowley & Friends, at the 2Northdown comedy club in King’s Cross.

Henry will be bringing Just Literally to the Cambridge Junction (J2) on Sunday, 3 November.
