Pint Shop

You can’t go wrong with a five- course feast at the Pint Shop including drinks, and a whisky at midnight. Ticket includes entrance to the bar with live DJ. Tickets: £65 / £10 for bar only

The Free Press

Sing the new year in with karaoke at the Free Press. Drinks till late and sharing boards with the kitchen’s special available from 6pm-9pm. Free entry.

The Cornerhouse

Lots of fun for free at the Cornerhouse. There will be a free buffet, free shot giveaways, silliness and games. Free entry.

The Portland Arms

Burlesque and cabaret acts will entertain and enthral as you enjoy games, cocktails and a food buffet. Tickets: £10 in advance only.

• Clubs & Cocktails

Lola Lo

The Midnight Brunch Ball promises dancing seduction and taste bud temptation with Champagne, canapés and complimentary mimosas. Tickets: £15.50 in advance or £20 on the door.

Hidden Rooms

What better way to start the new year than with disco? Both classics and updated tracks will keep you on your feet all night. Tickets: £10 before 9pm, £15 after.

DJs Ember, Blake, and Peter F from Primitive Music guarantee a night of non-stop dance to minimal, house, techno, deep house and tech house, at 2648’s Supertunes party. Tickets: £7 on the door and £10 on the door.

Novi

Sparkle and shine at Novi for ‘All that is Golden’, the new year’s event with a glitter bar and midnight balloon drop. There’s a glass of prosecco on and dancing until 3am. Tickets: £25 in advance and £30 on the door.

• Hotels/restaurants

Browns

The masquerade ball is on once again and with the five-course menu including prosecco, it’s a classy way to spend the night. Tickets: £39.95.

Alimentum

For the ultimate luxury dining experience head over to Alimentum for their new year’s 10-course feast. Champagne and piano music are all on the menu for £135.
