Taking place this year on June 10-12, the Cambridge Club Festival boasts a seriously impressive line-up, with the likes of Diana Ross, The Jacksons, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Level 42, Gabrielle, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Mica Paris all set to perform in the beautiful setting of Childerley Orchard near Cambridge.

The seeds for the festival were sown when three friends, William Young, Sam Mellor and Frazer Robinson – who also founded the Strawberries & Creem festival – came up with the idea while enjoying lunch in Cambridge’s famous Fitzbillies café.

The original idea was to stage an event that their mums would enjoy – an evening of gin and Prosecco tasting. No one realised at the time that five years later this event would spawn a three-day musical extravaganza attracting such a array of musical superstars.

Along with the music on offer, the festival serves up a three-day feast of arts, culture, and wellness activities. Revellers can start their morning by practising peaceful mindfulness and yoga and spend the afternoon enjoying a fine selection of comedy and podcasts at the Auditorium of Intrigue – situated in the orchard – with fascinating talks and comedy performances.

Performers include Marcus Brigstocke – British comedian best known for his acclaimed, satirical BBC Radio 4 programme The Now Show – along with comedy act Angelos Epithemiou (played by Dan Skinner), who regularly features on the Brian and Roger podcast and TV shows such as Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

They will be accompanied by a variety of comedians including Emmanuel Sonubi, Olivia Lee, Michelle Shaughnessy, Rob Rouse and Howard Read.

The festival team has also launched a region-wide talent competition called Live and Local, looking for regional talent to join Diana Ross, Nile Rodgers, etc on the main stage – an amazing opportunity for performers in the region.
