GCSE results day 2022: Cambourne Village College
Cambourne Village College students, teachers and parents are celebrating after opening an excellent set of GCSE exam results today (Thursday).
There was praise for students who worked extremely hard during the pandemic lockdowns to ensure they kept up with their studies.
Principal Claire Coates said: “We’re delighted that alongside the high number of students who achieved outstanding results at the top of the scale, our general progress scores look very high, meaning that students across the board, including those with special educational needs, have done incredibly well.”
She added: “Staff worked extremely hard throughout the lockdowns to deliver remote learning via the pupils’ iPads, and our students kept studying well under really challenging circumstances, so it’s been brilliant to see so much joy today, shared with families, as envelopes were opened.
“We’re looking forward to building on all this success as we continue to plan the opening of Cambourne Sixth Form in September 2024.”
