Pizzas, Pots and Pints on the menu as Cambridge pub reopens
The Carpenter's Arms has undergone an extensive refurbishment.
People in the north of Cambridge can now grab a slice of the award-winning Pizza, Pots and Pints offering a little closer to home after the reopening of The Carpenter’s Arms on Victoria Road.
The pub has been closed for several weeks and a full refurbishment was unveiled yesterday evening, April 5.
Pizza, Pots and Pints opened its first pub, The Salisbury Arms on Tenison Rd, Cambridge in 2015. This is the company’s second Cambridge offering, but the success of the concept means the team is aiming to get 20 of their franchises up and running by 2020.
Operations director, Benjamin Smith, said: “The team will serve high-quality artisan pizzas, pots of home-cooked comfort food and delicious beer, but we’ve also extended the pub to allow us to welcome more guests and moved the bar to create a more welcoming atmosphere. Given the success of the Salisbury Arms we can’t wait to breathe new life into the Carpenter’s Arms which has had a tough few years.”
Opening manager, Sam Adams, added: “The Carpenter’s Arms will be a place where you can come and chill-out with a pint but we’ve always got something going on during the week that sets us apart from other pubs.
“Though the two pubs will offer the same menu each manager will have the opportunity to engage with the local community whether that be choosing a local charity to support or coming up with different events during the month.
“To kick things off we’ll have for 2-4-1 pizzas on Monday, live music on the last Friday of the month and roast dinners on Sunday (12-4pm).”
